DESCRIPTION:Today almost every content management application ships with it
s own (frequently proprietary) "content repository." This repository usuall
y extends a storage layer such as a relational database with the various se
rvice facilities that almost any modern content application requires. These
"repository services" - for example versioning\, driven by legal complianc
e - are implemented differently by nearly every vendor\, each exposing diff
erent terminologies and different programming interfaces. The JCR spec all
ows the developer to connect and navigate transparently to any JCR supporte
 d content repository.
\n
\nIn this talk\, we will discuss the many uses of
the JCR 170 specification\, show sample applications\, code a connector to
a JCR compliant content repository\, and talk about JCR 2.0.
